Taylor Swift a "crafty" present-wrapper

LOS ANGELES: The 'Mean' hitmaker enjoys making her Christmas gifts hard to unwrap and she goes to great lengths to make them look attractive before her family and friends can open them.

She wrote on twitter: "I get sort of crafty when I wrap gifts. Like...I had to stop when I found myself hot-gluing Christmas figurines onto the presents."

The blonde stunner loves spending time with her family at Christmas and she enjoys using the festive period to look back on what she has achieved over the years.

The 22-year-old singer - who was named Artist of the Year at the 2011 American Music Awards - told Twist magazine: "I plan on spending as much time with my family as possible. It's amazing to have us all together. Also, a lot of my friends are always on tour.

"To have everyone back in Nashville for the holidays is one of my favourite things about this time of year. My family and I always decorate a big Christmas tree together and look at the ornaments [my brother] Austin and I made when we were kids.

"It's so nostalgic, looking back at all the Christmases past and comparing them to how different our lives are now."

Taylor recently gave her legion of fans an early Christmas present by tweeting a link to her latest song 'Safe and Sound', which will feature on the soundtrack of action movie 'The Hunger Games'.
