Cheryl Cole jets on day-trip to NYC and back

LONDON: Cheryl Cole jetted into LA on a day trip - to see her hunky music producer pal, reported British daily The Sun on Sunday.

The Geordie beauty made a 10,800-mile round-trip to see Alex Da Kid.

Fight For This Love singer Cheryl is believed to have flown from London Heathrow. She spent most of the day with Alex and then jetted back.

Dressed in a top with white bones on, she met Alex on Thursday morning before the pair, both 28, went for lunch.

Cheryl tweeted it was "150 degrees" and the air con was not working.

The Girls Aloud star was spotted in Alex's New York hotel in September, staying up until 1am. He is producing tracks on her new album.

In October she tweeted: "AlexDaKid I love you." Alex replied: "CherylCole love you too..."

Her spokesman said Saturday night: "Cheryl flew to LA to finish her album. It was a brief visit."

Since her divorce from England and Chelsea ace Ashley Cole, 31, in 2010, Cheryl has been linked to dancer Derek Hough, 26, and pop guru Taio Cruz, 28.
