Bee keeping thriving in Khotang

KHOTANG: Honey worth hundreds of thousands of rupees is produced in Khotang District every year.

The District Agriculture Development Office, Khotang said more than 40 tons of honey is produced in the district annually.

Over 10,000 farmers are into bee keeping in Khotang.

The farmers have been attracted towards bee keeping as one can make good income within short time from this vocation.

Bee keeping is thriving in more than 36 Village Development Committees (VDCs) of the district.
