Jaycees plan to make Wailing‚ 'rose city'

SYANGJA: The Waling Jaycees has initiated a campaign to develop the Waling Municipality in the district into a 'rose city'.

The objective of the campaign is to promote the municipality as the 'rose city' in the country and abroad, it is said.

The campaign was launched by handing over flowerpots with rose plants to the Waling Municipality office, the Area Administration Office and the Ward Police Office.

President of the Waling Jaycees, Deepak Lamsal handed over the flowerpots to representatives of these offices amidst a function on Saturday.

The Municipality decided through its 14th Town Council meeting to develop the town as the rose city.

Under this campaign, the municipality residents would be asked to plant at least two rose plants at their homes.
