Kat signs film for free

MUMBAI: Katrina Kaif may have secured her position as one of the leading ladies in Bollywood, but she also has a philanthropic side. The actor recently signed her make-up artist Subhash Singh’s production venture as the female lead. And to top it all, she will not be charging him for it.

Confirming the news, Singh says, “Yes, she has signed my film and she is supporting me, by not charging a single penny for it.”

Singh recently launched his company Hari Om Sai Productions. He will produce this film, which is the Hindi adaptation of the 2007 movie PS I Love You starring Gerard Butler and Hilary Swank.

“It is untitled as of now, but I have signed Aziz Mirza to direct it,” says Singh, who is yet to find a male lead to star opposite Kaif. Interestingly, this is not the first time Kaif is supporting her staff’s professional endeavours. In 2011, she did a cameo for her hairdresser, Ramila Manjrekar’s, production Main Krish Hoon. Unfortunately the film is yet to see the light of day.
