Koch Morcha bandh hits life in east

BHADRAPUR: The effect of shutdown enforced by Purbi Tharuwan Koch Morcha demanding the constitutional guarantee of their rights is visible in Jhapa since early Tuesday morning.

Long and short route vehicles have been almost brought to halt due to the shutdown. A very few means of transportation are seen plying in the street in Jhapa, said District Traffic Office, Birtamodh.

The Morcha has called bandh in the entire eastern region today demanding separate provinces in the name of Tharuwan and Koch.

Passengers have been already hit hard due to eastern region bandh enforced by excluded Maoist ex-fighters for the two consecutive days.
